A. Žigman: Hanfa will continue to optimize regulatory framework to support sustainable investments
At the Financing Growth and Innovation for Competitiveness conference, held on 18 March 2025 at the Croatian National Bank, the central topic was the provision of alternative sources of financing for the growth of Croatian companies. Ante Žigman, President of Hanfa Board, participated in the panel discussion Unlocking Alternative Funding for All Growth Stages of Croatian Firms, highlighting key regulatory initiatives and challenges of the Croatian financial market.
Žigman emphasized that Croatia is actively working on the integration of the domestic capital market into the wider European framework by harmonizing the regulatory framework, encouraging financial literacy and developing new financing instruments. He particularly mentioned the importance of the project for the development of the Strategic Framework for the Development of Capital Markets, which aims to strengthen market liquidity, regional integration and digitalization of financial services.
Speaking about the opportunity to strengthen Croatia's position as a regional financial centre, Žigman stressed that the development of a stronger market infrastructure and strengthening regional ties could enable Croatia to become a key financial hub for investors interested in doing business in this part of Europe.
He said that Hanfa will continue to work on optimizing the regulatory framework, supporting sustainable investments and improving transparency, with the aim of creating a supportive financial environment for innovative companies in Croatia.
