At the 10th educational congress organized by the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE), the Central Depositary and Clearing Company (CDCC) and the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA), held on 7 June 2019 in Zagreb, the participants discussed the new Code of Corporate Governance, the trends in presenting risks in the prospectus and the project implemented by HANFA with the aim of improving the supervision of financial information of issuers whose securities are listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. This project is financed by the funds provided by the European Commission, and it relates to the implementation of HANFA's new supervisory powers in connection with the supervision of financial information of issuers whose securities are listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
On behalf of the organizers, the attendees were welcomed, among others, by Jurica Jednačak, HANFA Board Member, who emphasized that numerous activities and projects implemented by HANFA aim to increase the quality of published information of issuers, which will contribute to the increase in investor confidence.
On behalf of HANFA, the presentations were held by Maja Ramljak, Supervisor Specialist from the Capital Market Supervision Division, and Vedran Krunić, Supervisor from this Division.
Apart from the above, this was an opportunity to learn more about how to prepare a good ad hoc public announcement, and about the focus on shareholders, which was discussed by experts from the ZSE and the CDCC.
